Commercially known as Pomegranate Red Granite, this stone breaks away from the usual speckled or veined patterns you see in most slabs. It offers a deep, chocolate-brown base with subtle vertical grooves, and the real standout feature is the scattered pale-pink circular spots that genuinely resemble pomegranate seeds scattered across the surface. The overall look is raw, earthy, and undeniably natural.

Given its rough and tactile finish, I usually steer clients toward outdoor projects rather than glossy interior settings. It excels on garden stepping stones, pool decks, and exterior wall cladding. The natural texture provides excellent slip resistance, which is a major safety bonus for wet zones like fountain surrounds. Plus, that busy, spotted pattern does a fantastic job of hiding dried leaves and everyday outdoor grime.

From a durability standpoint, it handles freezing winters and intense heat without cracking. But here is a practical heads-up: because of its coarse composition, it does not accept a high-gloss polish, so it is definitely not a good fit for modern kitchen islands. Inoltre, the dark brown background can reveal water spots fairly quickly if left untreated. A simple penetrating sealer applied right after installation solves that issue nicely.
